OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT The Department of Plastic Surgery at C S M Medical University (Formerly K G’s Medical College) is one of the largest in North India . It is also one of the oldest centre for teaching, training and patient care in the speciality in North India. The department has experienced faculty supported by resident staff, nurses, physiotherapist and speech therapist. A significant percentage of in-patient work is now related to complicated trauma management, congenital deformity reconstructions, craniofacial reconstructions and Microsurgery. The department has particular expertise in a number of areas which is contributed to by sub-specialisation amongst consultants and by conduct of various superspeciality multi- disciplinary clinics.
