One of the premiere and oldest centre of excellence for training and research. Provides teaching, training and research facilities to MBBS, BDS, MS (Gen. Surgery), MS (Orthopaedics) and M.Ch. students.

         We are providing comprehensive management of patients presenting with problems related to general plastic surgery, cranio-maxillofacial surgery, aesthetic surgery, hand surgery and microvascular surgery.

          The department is engaged in developing new treatment modalities with more than 100 papers published in reputed journals. Currently project research on tissue culture and distraction histogenesis is active.

          Three past heads of department have received the prestigious Dr. B.C. Roy award and have been presidents of the Association of Plastic Surgeons of India.
